Periodontal Disease and Pregnancy Outcomes

An increasing number of studies are confirming an association between periodontal disease (PD) and adverse outcomes in pregnancy. Offenbacher et al. found that pregnant women with severe PD are 7.5 times more likely to go into labor prematurely
