COVID-19 TESTING
Rapid Saliva-based SARS-CoV-2 Virus Test
SALIVA VS NASAL
Research performed by Yale University concluded that saliva yielded greater sensitivity and consistency throughout the course of infection over existing nasal swap or nasopharyngeal.
The University of Queensland reviewed studies of different specimen types and found saliva could improve the sensitivity and accuracy of COVID-19 detection.

INSURANCE & FREE TESTING
Tests ordered by physicians are covered for patients that qualify for insurance reimbursement by having certain symptoms or recent suspected exposure or by being in an essential worker category. Under the Cares Act, tests that qualify for insurance reimbursement are also free for those who are uninsured.

Easy saliva sample collection
Unlike the discomfort from giving a nasopharyngeal swab sample, we collect a passive saliva sample in a tube. Quick, easy, painless.
Rapid turnaround
Our goal is to provide results within 12-24 hours from collection. For select providers and clients, we can deliver same day results (ask us for more information on ultra-fast service).
Cost Effective
We pass the efficiency of our lab and process on to our customers and patients making our test affordable and price competitive.

ACCURACY
Reverse Transcriptase Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) testing, also referred to as nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT), detects the genetic material inside the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19 disease.
PCR is considered to be the most reliable test for COVID-19 due to its amplification of unique genetic sequences of SARS-CoV-2 by more than a million-fold, making very low numbers of viral particles detectable.
Another testing option for COVID-19 diagnosis is Antigen testing, which quickly detects proteins on the surface of the COVID-19 virus. The proteins that are measured are not amplified, therefore these tests are typically less sensitive than PCR, meaning “false negatives” are more likely.
The SalivaDirect™ protocol is Authorized by the FDA under Emergency Use Authorization.

TESTING RESOURCES & INSTRUCTIONS
Saliva testing is quick, easy, and painless. The process is simple, allow a small amount of saliva to drain from the mouth into the collection tube (passive drool). No drinks, food, gum, tobacco, smoking, vaping, or nasal sprays 30 minutes before giving a saliva sample. No water 10 minutes before. See the links below for details.
